Hairstyle: Twists

So, this past Sunday I twisted my hair up. I wanted to wear the twists just hanging but, I wasn't really feeling the look. So, on Monday I pinned one side of the twists over and wore them side swept. I had plans to curl the ends and wear it like that on Tuesday but, again I wasn't feeling the look. So, I went to my trusty twist updo.

I am going to try to keep these twists in for 2 weeks. That is a long time for me! But, that is the point of protective styles--not to manipulate the hair.

Below are the twos styles I have worn so far:

This is the side-swept twists.
This is the twist-updo. (I forgot to take of my glasses in the second shot).

Here's what I did:
1. I dry twisted the hair using Jamaican Mango & Lime Locking Gel
2. I oiled my scalp with essential oils.
3. I oiled my hair with EVOO.

  1. Love the hair! Especially the last pic with the flower. I can hardly wait to have twist updos, but my TWA is steadily graduating to a MSA.

  5. Thank you, Qzan! I have not started my Youtube channel...yet. I have seriously been considering starting up a channel. I'm just trying to find the perfect set-up in my house. And also, I want to invest in a tripod. I will put up info on the blog when it is set-up.
