I found this advertisement while browsing the internet. First off, I love her thick and natural hair. Secondly, this is a Febreeze advertisement, which is a major brand. This advertisement depicts natural hair as the norm. The woman is not trying to make some political statement or trying to be funky. She is in a traditional work environment. If more companies choose to depict natural hair as the norm, it will be embraced more.
I have seen more ads depicting women of color with natural curly hair. You're right, the more natural hair is shown by the media in this light, the more it will be accepted by the masses.
